We Miss Ya, Mutti.

Sigh.  It's only been a week but we miss our Mutti.  We had so much fun with her!  Reading books...

But now she's gone and all we've got for entertainment is an outdated internet meme.  Sebby has taken up planking.

Reminder to self: that little boy has been a bit of a wretch lately, but this weekend, he has been so utterly adorable.  So cheery and loving and good.  Next time he's a butthead, come back and read this and remember how nice he can be when he tries.

Thank Goodness This One's Over and Done!

So, we all know how this week started off: with the arrival of Mutti (yay) and the operation (boo).  Luckily Molls is a nugget, a trooper, and a star, so apart from a day of being more or less drugged out of her mind she bounced back awesomely.  

She had the cutest little doodahs on her leggies to keep the circulation going, they inflated from ankle to knee.  Fun!

And before the morphine drip even finished she was fully plugged into her social network and watching gory videos (Dexter).  Though I have to admit she fell back into a morphine doze halfway through the episode.

But it was home two days later and today she even made it out of the house!  We went down to Rabbit Island, where they were having a kids fun day.  I can't believe this poor little miniature horse had to take Daddy for a ride.  Brutal.

The sandcastle competition earlier in the day had even left a handy Batmobile lookalike.
