Snow Angels

This week there was a huuuuge dump of snow all round us. The hills are thick and white with it, so pretty! It feels like proper Nelson Winter with snow and blue skies at last. We're sick of rain, blech.

So anyway, we decided to make a trip up to St Arnaud for Sebby's first SNOW TIME. And boy was there a lot of snow.

It went right up to the lake edge, enabling a special Snowy Duck Chase.

My beautiful snow babies, the larger of whom did try to make a proper snow angel, but darn, the snow was too hard packed or icy or something. Anyway, no cigar.

And here is Seb meeting his first snow man, made with love and a shovel by his Daddy.

(He promptly yanked its eyes out.)

Of course, you can't have a Snow Day without hurling snow lumps at one another!

Back home, only forty five minutes away, I could eat lunch in the sun with my sunnies on. Ahhhh Nelson!

  1. Wow that was a lot of snow! What beautiful snow babies you have!

The picture of the shoreline covered in snow, the lake and mountains in the background, a little boy in blue and a duck, is a classic. Truly fabulous.
(Especially when you know exactly where it was taken :)

Bunce and I thought the snow fight was very funny - just like Seb did! xxxx
