Quick note: this is the two months where we prepped the house for sale, sold the house, had Mutti and Bunce down for two weeks, went to Bali, Moll had health problems, and we bought another house. Seriously, I should be blogging too?
Anyway, after all this busy time my little darling has started, at last, to show an interest in PENS. Writing! Drawing! It's awesome!
He's still very "can't do it perfectly, won't do it at all" about trying to make letters, but with the magic of a STENCIL perfection was suddenly at his fingertips. I'm a bit worried about starting there, but at least it's making him interested in letters and sounds and how they make words.
He can tell you which word is which and (mostly) which letter makes which sound.
And then there is the DRAWING. How fantabulous are these people!!! Daddy the grumpy ballerina carrot! Fat smily mummy with "more hair than daddy" and "29 babies in her tummy"? RHUBARB up the top left with five legs and a perfectly horizontal tail? I am weak with love.

Are you sure these are not all beings from another planet? LOL They have such a consistent, family look about them, which surely indicates a new race introducing itself to us 'Earthers' for the first time?!
