Quick Draw McGraw

My kids can't draw.  They're not arty.  No really. Ask them, they'll tell you.

Yeah I don't believe them either :)

Here is a (guided) drawing by a six year old boy.  We used a cup for the circle and the ruler for the sides of the square but everything else was placed, sketched, outlined and coloured by Seb by himself.  I didn't point out the elements on the body or anything!

Here he is working on a picture of "real" Hawkeye...

Finished product:

To be fair, I talked him through it line by line, and did a demo beside him.  But still!!!  There are two bits on there by me, which are the mouth and the forehead/hairline.

I love guided drawing with my kidlets.

And here is the first stage of a painting by my daughter, who also claims she's useless at art.  Again, guided, but golly!

So awesome.

In other news, this is what 99 days can do.  Here is me at the end of August.  This isn't even the nadir - I lost more eyebrows and eyelashes after that.

And here is me today.    No makeup (though I confess to hair dye and eyelash extensions).

Human again!! (Though obviously TERRIBLE at selfies.)
